Julia is an ambitious casting agent who moves from Paris to Brussels following a break-up. Behind a façade of success and self-confidence, she hides her deepest insecurities. She meets Eliott, a taciturn but driven microbiologist. Despite their worlds being worlds apart, an unexpected friendship develops. When Julia lands the job of a lifetime, she is faced with a choice: to carry on playing a part, or to finally be honest with herself and live authentically.

With Real Faces, Huyghe makes her feature film debut. A beautifully minimalist, richly detailed film about human connection and the sense of belonging. The cinematography is by Grimm Vandekerckhove, a regular collaborator of director Bas Devos (Here). And if you’re a fan of the latter, Real Faces is guaranteed to win a place in your heart and bring a smile to your face.
