Anno 2024, we are already missing Kurt Cobain for 30 years. The Nirvana frontman was the voice of a generation and made musical history with his revolutionary grunge. Songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit, Lithium and Heart-Shaped Box are still relevant three decades later. And even today, younger generations are discovering Nirvana, via their parents and social networks.

Nirvana only played 3 times in Belgium, but we have good news for those who couldn't be there! During the '24-'25 theater season, the rockumentary Smells Like Memories will be shown in several Flemish theatres. A musical story told by Sofie Engelen (TMF, Stubru, De Tijdloze), music specialist with a wonderful radio voice, musically accompanied by the group Boskat.

Sofie is, in her own words, "the biggest Nirvana fan in Belgium" and therefore the ideal person to guide you through the timeless spirit of grunge icon Nirvana. It won't just be a tribute show. Expect anecdotes, snippets from the good old days, forgotten interviews and rebellious sounds and visuals. Themes such as the creativity and mental health of the legendary figure Kurt Cobain will also be discussed.

And of course, there will be music too! Boskat, the Nirvana tribute band around frontman Vincent Van Santfoort, brings the spirit of Nirvana to life with captivating covers.
