Since the 1990s, The Brian Jonestown Massacre has occupied a unique place on the international music scene. Supported by charismatic frontman Anton Newcombe, the American band grew into one of the most important psychdelic rock formations of its time.
The Brian Jonestown Massacre were first appreciated by the mainstream in the early nineties with the single SheMadeMe / Evergreen. With that, Newcombe undeniably showed what a visionary songwriter he is. Confirmation came in 1995 with the album Methodrone, which instantly became a new reference in the world of indie shoegaze.
In the years that followed, the band, led by regular Newcombe, released more than twenty albums. Each of these explored a different aspect of the unique world of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, ranging from soft noise-pop over raw rock ‘n’ roll, to a touch of country-blues.
In recent years, The Brian Jonestown Massacre were also acclaimed for, among other things, two new albums: Fire Doesn't Grow on Trees (2022), followed by Your Future Is Your Past (2023). Live, The Brian Jonestown Massacre always manages to convince with intense shows captivating audiences at the very first notes.
