17-year-old Adi spends the summer in the small Romanian village where he grew up, a place that feels like the end of the world. When Adi is beaten up one night by the sons of a local gangster, it puts all relations in the village on edge. 

Adi's father pretends that the attack was a warning to settle his debts, but the whole family knows what is unsaid: Adi was attacked because he is attracted to boys. His parents ignore it, the police shrug their shoulders and Adi wants nothing more than to run away to Bucharest as fast as possible. Slowly but surely, the apparent tranquility of the village begins to crack more and more.
