In a previous life, Yello Staelens, better known as Yong Yello, was a member of the legendary hip-hop collective Eigen Makelij, in which he collaborated with Tourist LeMC, among others. Later, he became the regular producer of Glints and we now also know him as the new crown prince of Antwerp song.
 
His debut album Marcel & Het Magnetisme Van De Goot (2021) immediately spawned several big hits such as Circles, Luchtkasteel and Waanzin, among others, left a solid impression on the Flemish public. Yello confirmed his popularity with sold-out venues and powerful festival shows on the meadows of Pukkelpop, Rock Werchter and the Lokerse Feesten.

In March ‘25, Yong Yello presented the first single from his new album with Ik moet dringend op vakantie. A catchy song that describes the story of a workaholic. As always, he wraps heavy social themes with irony in catchy melodies, while his signature sound is enriched with vintage samba. The single is a prelude to his second album, which will be released in autumn 2025 and which he will present at De Roma on 4 November.
