Babbling Brook Baptists is the new musical adventure of Rik Seniow and Tom Peeters. For their debut album Entrustments To The Shallow Water, they retreated to Studio Sobrak, where producer Lukas Somers shaped the rough sketches into a lush, layered whole. The result is an intimate and adventurous record, carried by an impressive ensemble of musicians: from the delicate keys of David Thomaere to the brass section of Alban Sarens, Sam Joris and Joppe Bestevaar, the percussion of Sep François, the warm cello of Sam Faes and the harp sounds of Jutta Troch. The voice of Sarah Ezzin Devos also whispers gently in the background.
