Finally! Bill Callahan is coming to De Roma for the very first time. The legendary American singer‑songwriter will present his new album My Days of 58 in October, his first since 2022. Across twelve intimate tracks, Callahan wraps his listeners in a warm musical embrace. His deep, resonant voice feels like that of a trusted friend, while his lyrics capture the highs and lows of life. Few artists evoke such a sense of comfort and closeness — as if you were sitting with him in his living room, sipping a warm cup of coffee.

For his new tour, Bill Callahan will be joined by his trusted musicians: guitarist Matt Kinsey, saxophonist Dustin Laurenzi, and drummer Jim White — a trio whose chemistry was already unmistakable on the 2024 live album Resuscitate!.

These are also the musicians with whom Callahan wrote and developed the songs for the new album, working on each track individually with one of them. As a result, My Days of 58 became a collaborative project, with plenty of room for improvisation and the small imperfections that lend the music its authenticity. Callahan also invited several guest musicians to add extra color and humanity: Richard Bowden on fiddle, Pat Thrasher on piano, Chris Vreeland on bass, Mike St. Clair on trombone, and Bill McCullough on pedal steel.
