Baloji is a masterful Belgian rapper of Congolese origin who has collaborated with Damon Albarns' Africa Express and many others. His previous album 137 Avenue Kaniama - named after the Lubumbashi address where Baloji reunited with his mother, whom he thought had disappeared - dates back to 2018. Now in 2024, Baloji makes a sensational comeback!
AUGURE is the title of his ambitious project in three superb shapes. AUGURE is first and foremost Baloji's directorial debut. Instantly acclaimed in the official selection of the Cannes Film Festival 2023, the movie won the first prize in the “Un Certain Regard” category.
AUGURE is also a monumental album, comprising 4 EPs with a total of 36 songs based on the point of view of his movie's four main characters. To top it all off, AUGURE is also a wonderful exhibition at the prestigious MOMU (Fashion Museum) in Antwerp.
