Jan De Smet (singer and musician, known for De Nieuwe Snaar, among others) turned seventy in 2023. It is a great luxury for him (hence the title) to be able to celebrate this on various stages. He does this together with a group of select musicians and singers and offers a very eclectic musical programme.
The Bonnie Blues (Nele Paelinck, Laura vanden Heede and Juno Kerstens) are not only passionate musicians on the violin, accordion, guitar, cello and double bass, but also masters of harmonious and swinging vocal triads.
Les Guitares Magiques (Raf Timmermans, Gijs Hollebosch and Mathias Moors) have few vocal ambitions, but are masters at playing authentic (sometimes exotic) string instruments (dobro, lap steel, ukulele, Hawaiian guitar, tiple, Taropatch, etc.).
The almost legendary Stoy Stoffelen (drums and percussion) is and remains the rhythmic rock in the surf.
