Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul are a Ghent-based electronic duo who have gained international acclaim with their distinctive blend of electro-pop, house, synth-pop and post-punk. Their acclaimed debut album Topical Dancer (2022), released on Soulwax’s DEEWEE label, combined sharp social commentary with humour without ever losing its dancefloor appeal. The record earned glowing reviews, three MIA awards and appearances at major festivals including Glastonbury, Sónar and Pitchfork Music Festival.

With Mainland Madinina, Charlotte and Bolis return in February 2027 with a new album shaped by a transformative period in their lives, marked by parenthood, loss and reflections on their family roots. Exploring themes such as grief, diaspora, colonial history and identity, the record moves seamlessly between dancefloor bangers and deeply moving ballads. Once again collaborating with Soulwax, they have crafted an adventurous and emotionally charged sound, driven by Charlotte’s powerful vocals, their close friendship and a generous dose of humour.
