For years, Daniel Norgren was one of the best kept secrets of the Far North. But with every concert, the imposing Swedish singer-songwriter manages to move us more and more and continues to expand his loyal fan base. Daniel Norgren is an artist of his own. After his impressive concert in May 2019, we are very happy to welcome the endearing Swede back to De Roma.

Daniel Norgren's music is somewhere between Americana, roots, blues and folk and combines the best of classic artists such as Neil Young, Tom Waits and Van Morrison with the best of contemporary artists such as Bonnie “Prince” Billie and The Tallest Man On Earth . Yet it is mainly his inimitable sound that characterizes Norgren. With his subdued and melancholic songs, like no other he catapults you back to a nostalgic childhood atmosphere in the great outdoors. It is not without reason that Norgren provided the soundtrack for De Acht Bergen, the beautiful film epic by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersch based on the bestseller by Paolo Cognetti. At the premiere of that film in De Roma in December 2022, Daniel Norgren treated the audience to a magical mini concert.

In 2024 we are eagerly awaiting new work. Daniel Norgren's last studio album - Wooh Dang - dates back to 2019, but after a few new singles and with a new tour in prospect, there are rumors about an imminent new record. In De Roma, Daniel Norgren (vocals, piano and guitar) performs with Anders Grahn (bass), Andreas Filipsson (guitar), Anders Rane (keys) and Erik Berntsson (drums).
