Six Blade Knife plays Dire Straits
Sultans of Swing, Walk of Life, Money for Nothing, Brothers in Arms… the oeuvre of Dire Straits is monumental. The members of Six Blade Knife know this all too well. With this band, Geert Hellings (Guido Belcanto, Stanton) gathered a group of musical brothers-in-arms around him to bring the timeless music of Dire Straits back to life on stage.
Anyone who has ever attended a Six Blade Knife concert cannot help but be impressed. “I never saw the real Dire Straits, and I don’t need to anymore. I can’t imagine them being better live than Six Blade Knife,” says comedian, cabaret artist, and music lover Wim Helsen. “This. You. Cannot. Miss. Pure alchemy! It’s very simple: this might just be the ultimate concert trip of the coming years,” adds writer Bart Van Loo.
At De Roma, Six Blade Knife pays a warm tribute to their favourite band. Alongside the big hits, they also play gems from the early Dire Straits repertoire: Once Upon a Time in the West, Water of Love, Lady Writer…
