Few bands have had such an impact on the world of experimental music as Einstürzende Neubauten. The German band, whose intriguing frontman Blixa Bargeld is also known as one of the founding members of The Bad Seeds, is considered a veritable phenomenon among the world's musical innovators. They are known for making their own instruments from discarded industrial tools and materials, such as steel plates, oil drums and supermarket trolleys. It's an unorthodox way of creating a sound that contributes to the band's unpredictable nature.
Unlike other musicians of their time, the members of Einstürzende Neubauten are continually searching for new musical angles. In 2020, the band celebrated its 40th anniversary with the internationally acclaimed album Alles in Allem. The album focuses on their relationship with Berlin, the city where it all began in 1980, and where the band draws its inspiration from the melting pot of (musical) cultures that converge in the German capital. In autumn 2024, Blixa Bargeld and his bandmates will be releasing their 13th album, which they will present at De Roma, much to our delight!
