Since the early 1990s, Bermuda-born singer-songwriter Heather Nova made the sun shine in the pop scene. She oscillates between pop, folk and rock, with poetic influences from her idols Kate Bush and Patti Smith. Since her albums Oyster (1994) and Siren (1998), the musician has gained international fame with acoustic-tinged hippie rock songs such as London Rain, Maybe an Angel, Truth and Bone and Walk This World.
Heather Nova is also a welcome siren on the Belgian stages. She has seduced the audiences of many festivals and performed in almost every club in our country. With the album Other Shores, she has taken a different path. She covered songs by The National, Foreigner, John Lennon, Journey and Pixies, among others, and reinterpreted them from her own feminine perspective, which makes the songs more intimate and personal. The result is surprising, but at the same time typical of Heather Nova. In the meantime, a new album is already in the making. At De Roma, Heather Nova promises to perform a selection of her new songs and classics.
