Jesse Welles
Jesse Welles
For fans of: Billy Strings, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie
With his guitar, sharp pen, and a healthy dose of courage, Jesse Welles follows in the footsteps of the travelling singer-songwriters who dare to speak truth to power. From his home base in Arkansas, he writes songs about inequality, injustice and division in the United States, delivering his message with honesty, wit and no unnecessary detours. What started as videos of him performing alone in nature quickly grew into an online phenomenon, attracting millions of listeners and a rapidly expanding fanbase. His poignant folk and protest songs have earned praise from outlets including Rolling Stone and The New York Times.
Music has been part of Welles' DNA since childhood. Inspired by icons such as Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell and Woody Guthrie, he spent years travelling across North America and Europe before returning to Arkansas and fully finding his own voice. Following the albums Hells Welles and Patchwork, he opens a new chapter with Middle (2025): a collection of socially conscious and deeply human songs that call for connection rather than division.
