Micah P. Hinson is one of the most intriguing figures in the international alt-folk and Americana scene. Born in Memphis and raised in Texas, he grew up in a strict religious environment but found his freedom in music. His raw voice, honest lyrics, and minimalist arrangements reflect a life full of contrasts: from precariousness as a homeless person and personal struggles to international recognition.
Since his debut album Micah P. Hinson and the Gospel of Progress (2004), he has built a loyal European fan base and released ten albums, each telling stories of love, loss, and survival. Hinson’s music is dark and captivating, yet always infused with hope and authenticity. Live, he creates an intimate atmosphere where every note and every word resonates deeply.
