Stereo MCs was formed in 1985 by childhood friends Rob Birch and Nick Hallam. The band soon impressed with their, for the time, progressive mix of hip-hop, rock, breakbeat and electronica. After a lot of underground success, the group broke through to the general public in 1991 with their first radio hit Lost In Music. A year later, the victory tour continued with the release of their third album Connected and the title track of the same name. After several quieter years, Stereo MCs scored another big hit with their dancefloor banger Step It Up in 2001. Now, in 2025, the band will tour again and come to De Roma for the first time!
