Ready for a party? Vive La Fête is coming back to De Roma. For the first time since 2018, Belgium's electro-kitsch pop band will present a whole load of new songs on the world.
With the new single Sauvage (release 5 November), Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens launch their first single in six years. The new song stays true to the musical sound the band is known for. It also sets the tone for the upcoming EP Les Sauvages, which will be released early March 2025. After celebrating their 25th anniversary with a series of sold-out gigs across Europe, a brand new Les Sauvages Tour will follow.
It has been more than a quarter of a century since Vive La Fête's started. Danny Mommens first played with the band dEUS, but with Vive La Fête he seized the opportunity to create something together with his girlfriend Els Pynoo. Not only party-goers, but also fashionistas were seduced by the stylish duo. Very soon, Vive La Fête was playing at Karl Lagerfeld's fashion shows, at his invitation.
Things went fast for Vive La Fête and Els and Danny surrounded themselves with other musicians to grow into a full-fledged live band. With Nuit Blanche (2003), Vive La Fête definitely established itself at the top of the electroclash genre. Thanks to hits like Maquillage, Touche pas and the dark-manic Noir Désir, the band played at all the world's major festivals.
With its mix of chanson, kitsch, pop, new wave and electro, Vive La Fête is the ultimate party band and leaves an indelible mark on the Belgian music scene. Be prepared for a show bursting with energy!
