Vive la Fête has been one of Belgium’s most distinctive bands for nearly three decades. What started in 1997 as the musical adventure of Els Pynoo and Danny Mommens grew into an international success story, blending electronic beats, new wave, guitars and French-language pop into an irresistible sound. From concert halls across Europe to stages in Japan, Mexico and Brazil, their stylish mix of glamour, energy and danceability has won over audiences around the world.
With albums such as République Populaire and especially Nuit Blanche, Vive la Fête firmly established itself on the international scene. Songs like Je Ne Veux Pas, Touche Pas, Maquillage and Noir Désir have become classics that still ignite an electrifying atmosphere whenever they are performed live. The fashion world also fell for their unique universe. After being discovered by Karl Lagerfeld, the band went on to perform at Chanel events and international fashion shows.
Following the anniversary book Vive l'Archive: 30 ans de fête, compiled from the band’s personal archives, Vive la Fête turns the spotlight back on Nuit Blanche in 2027, the album that played a defining role in their international breakthrough. With Tour Blanche 2027, they revisit that iconic repertoire, alongside the biggest crowd favourites from nearly three decades of Vive la Fête.
Live, Vive la Fête remains in a class of its own. Backed by a full band, Els and Danny deliver a show where sharp electronics, pulsating synths, guitars and drums come together in one irresistible party machine. Expect glamour, nostalgia, fresh energy and, above all, plenty of songs that make standing still simply impossible.
