We Are Stardust
Oko Yono invites!
Oko Yono is the band featuring Annelies Van Dinter (Echo Beatty, Naga Ghost, Pruillip), Myrthe Luyten (Astronaute, Mad About Mountains), Birsen Uçar (Hydrogen Sea) and Caitlin Talbut (BLUAI, Plush Baby, BLOND).
On the eve of International Women’s Rights Day, Oko Yono pays tribute to the revolutionary women of the 1960s and 1970s. To make it a fantastic evening, they have put together an impressive line-up of leading poets, writers, singers and musicians, including Sanne Putseys (Selah Sue), Yousra Benfquih, Uwase and Nina Kortekaas.
Expect a delightful synergy of unique voices, reinterpretations of songs by artists including Nina Simone, Joni Mitchell and Karen Dalton, original music and moving lyrics. A celebration of experimentation, emancipation, peace and hope. Everyone is welcome!
