Following good tradition, Borgerrio will once again parade down the Turhoutsebaan! To give this parade extra colour, a local Latin American band will play two free concerts in the entrance hall of De Roma.

Mariachi Los Tarascos is from Antwerp and consists of musicians from Mexico, Honduras and Belgium. Mariachi music is the sound and soul of Mexico, the musical accompaniment to all the important moments in life. With the typical vihuela, guitarron, violin, trumpet and vocals (from full voice!), they perform the music in a traditional way, with a quirky sauce and in full regalia. 

Classic sing-alongs from the mariachi repertoire such as La Bamba, Besame Mucho and Cielito Lindo take you straight to South America. Sometimes romantic and heartbreaking, but always ending in a celebration of life.
