For years now, pianist Jef Neve (BE) and trumpeter Teus Nobel (NL) are at the top of the international jazz scene. In addition to numerous projects under their own name, they have toured the world together several times in recent years. On stages and festivals in, among others, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Canada and Australia, the audience has fully enjoyed the playing pleasure of these two talented musicians and friends.
The harmonious interaction and the pleasure of performing this long series of concerts have given rise to a duo album recorded live with an audience present. It is a mix of their own compositions and jazz classics, including a composition called Esho Funi by Teus, inspired by the Japanese theme of unity between oneself and one's environment.
The album is presented during an extensive tour at home and abroad, during which they relentlessly challenge each other musically. Add to this the entertaining anecdotes of these eloquent gentlemen and you have the recipe for a great night out!
