Four-year-old Adam is admitted to hospital suffering from malnutrition. Head nurse Lucy decides to give his mother extra time with her son, despite the strict visiting hours imposed by the court. But when the mother refuses to leave her son, the situation escalates. Faced with heart-wrenching choices, Lucy tries to do everything she can to support the desperate mother and give little Adam a chance at a better future.
